FX.co ★ Czech Republic Inflation Confirmed at 5-Month Low

In September 2025, the Czech Republic witnessed a decline in its annual inflation rate, settling at 2.3%—its lowest level since April. This decrease follows a 2.5% rate in the previous month and aligns with earlier projections. Notably, there was a slowdown in price increases for food and non-alcoholic beverages, which grew by 2.7% compared to 4.7% in August. Similar trends were observed in furnishings, household equipment, and maintenance, which saw growth decline to 1.5% from 1.8%, as well as in communications (0.5% from 0.6%), recreation and culture (4.1% from 4.2%), education (4.2% from 11.2%), and miscellaneous goods and services (2.9% from 3%). Conversely, transport prices showed recovery with a growth of 0.2% against a previous decline of 1.1%, while deflation in clothing and footwear moderated slightly to -1.7% from -1.9%. On a month-over-month comparison, consumer prices experienced a 0.6% decrease in September, marking the most significant drop in two years and reversing the 0.1% increase noted in the preceding month.
