In September 2025, Moldova experienced a decrease in its annual inflation rate, falling to 6.9% from 7.3% in August. This decline was primarily attributed to a reduction in the rate of price increases for food items, particularly fruits and vegetables, which saw an increase of 6.7% compared to 8.5% in August. However, inflation for non-food products showed an uptick, rising to 2.8% from 2.2% the previous month. On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices increased by 0.1% in September, recovering from a 0.1% decline in August.
