In August 2025, Bulgaria's construction output experienced a significant year-on-year growth of 5.9%, up from a revised figure of 5.4% in July. This uptick was largely propelled by a stronger pace in building construction, which rose to 5.2% from the previous 4.5%, and in specialized construction activities, which increased to 8.6% from 7.6%. However, the growth rate of civil engineering works saw a slight slowdown, declining from 3.7% to 3.3%. On a seasonally adjusted month-to-month comparison, construction output saw a 1.5% rise in August, recovering from a revised 0.4% decrease observed in the prior month.
