Moreover, there was a noticeable acceleration in costs for manufacturing segments such as wearing apparel, which grew by 1.4% from 0.5%, chemical and chemical products which climbed to 0.6% from 0.2%, basic metals which increased to 2.3% from 2.0%, and rubber and plastic products which saw a rise to 0.9% from 0.6%. Conversely, declines continued in the prices of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations, which dropped further to -1.4% from -1%, as well as in paper and paper products, which fell to -1.3% from -1%.
