In September 2025, retail sales in Turkey experienced a year-on-year growth of 14.3%, building on an upwardly adjusted gain of 13.1% from the previous month. Non-food items saw an acceleration in sales growth, rising by 18.2% compared to 15% in August, with the most significant increases observed in the sectors of computers, books, and telecommunications equipment, which surged by 33.2% from 23.3%, and textiles, clothing, and footwear, which grew by 4.4% against 3.8%. Meanwhile, growth in sales of food, drinks, and tobacco moderated to 8.2% from 10.5%, and sales of automotive fuel experienced a downturn, decreasing by 0.4% following a 1.2% rise. Seasonally adjusted figures indicate that monthly retail trade improved by 2.2% in September, an increase from August's revised 1.2% increase.
