Romania observed a slight decrease in its annual inflation rate, which dipped to 9.8% in October 2025, down from 9.9% the previous month, aligning with market forecasts. The deceleration was driven by a moderation in price growth for both food items, which saw an increase of 7.57% as opposed to 7.86% in September, and non-food products, which grew by 10.96% compared to 11.09% previously. Conversely, service costs experienced a quicker rise, registering a 10.52% increase up from 10.36%. On a monthly scale, consumer prices increased by 0.5% in October, following a 0.36% rise in September.
