In October 2025, Brazil experienced a 0.9% month-over-month increase in its total outstanding loans, reaching R$6.9 trillion. This followed a 1.1% rise in September. The corporate credit sector saw a growth of 0.3%, bringing it to R$2.6 trillion, while household lending experienced a more significant increase of 1.3%, totaling R$4.3 trillion. Over a 12-month period, overall credit growth maintained a steady pace at 10.2%, mirroring the previous month’s figure. On an annual comparison, credit to businesses witnessed a slight deceleration, easing to 8.4% from 8.7% in September. Conversely, credit extended to households saw an uptick, rising to 11.3% from 11.2%.
