In September 2025, industrial sales in Italy experienced a notable increase of 2.1% compared to the previous month, recovering from a 0.7% decline in August. This growth was observed in both domestic sales, which rose by 1.5% following a 0.3% decrease in August, and foreign sales, which jumped by 3.1% after a 1.7% drop. By industrial category, there were notable rises in sales for capital goods at 5.3%, intermediate goods at 2.0%, and consumer goods at 0.6%, though sales in the energy sector experienced a decline of 5.3%. On an annual basis, industrial sales increased by 3.4% in September, reversing an earlier revised decline of 0.3% in August. This robust growth was supported by a 4.3% increase in domestic sales, up from 0.5%, and a recovery in foreign sales, which rose by 1.6% after a previous decrease of 1.8%.
