FX.co ★ Cyprus Q3 GDP Growth Confirmed at 3.6%

The Cyprus economy experienced a year-on-year growth of 3.6% in the third quarter of 2025, aligning with earlier flash estimates and maintaining the same growth rate as the previous quarter. Examining the production side, this growth was supported by several sectors: agriculture, forestry, and fishing increased by 0.8% compared to 0.6% in Q2; manufacturing rose by 2.4% from 1.7%; wholesale and retail trade advanced by 6.5% from 6%; and the information and communications sector expanded by 8.4% compared to 6.2%. On the expenditure side, household consumption surged to 5.4% from 2.8%, though government spending growth decelerated significantly to 2.5% from 12.1%. Furthermore, gross fixed capital formation contracted, showing a decline of 2.6% after previously achieving a 17.7% increase. Net trade had a negative impact, as the rise in exports at 6.7% was outpaced by an 8% increase in imports, compared to the previous quarter's figures of 5.5% and 6.8%, respectively. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, GDP grew by 0.9% in Q3, following a 0.7% increase in the prior quarter.
