In October 2025, Romania's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased to 5.9%, a decline from the revised 6.1% recorded over the preceding two months. This marks the lowest unemployment figure since January, attributed to a reduction in the number of unemployed individuals by 10,100, bringing the total to 487,300. The unemployment rate among men declined to 6.0% from 6.3% in September, whereas the rate for women remained steady at 5.8%. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate for young people aged 15 to 24 slightly decreased to 4.6% from 4.7% in the previous month.
