In December 2025, international visitors to Vietnam experienced a 15.7% year-on-year increase, reaching a nine-month peak of 2.02 million, following a 15.6% rise in November. Asian arrivals grew by 11%, driven by significant increases from China (25.7%), Japan (8.2%), Malaysia (16.9%), Singapore (32.6%), and the Philippines (61.4%). The Americas also saw a 20.6% surge in visitor numbers, with notable growth from the US (12.6%), Canada (26.8%), and other countries in the region (131%). European arrivals jumped by 47.3%, with substantial gains from Russia (239.7%), the UK (15.6%), France (17.6%), and Germany (17.5%). Additionally, tourists from Australia saw a modest increase of 3.6%, while arrivals from Africa rose by 29.5%. On a monthly perspective, the overall arrival figures increased by 2.2%. Over the entire year, Vietnam welcomed 21.17 million international visitors, marking a 20.4% rise in 2025.
