FX.co ★ Hungary Industrial Output Growth Eases in April

Industrial production in Hungary increased by 0.9% year-on-year in April 2026, down from a 6.7% rise in the previous month, according to preliminary estimates. This was the second consecutive annual increase, even though output declined in most manufacturing subsectors compared with a year earlier. Among the key subsectors, production grew in transport equipment as well as in computer, electronic, and optical products. By contrast, output fell in electrical equipment and in food, beverages, and tobacco products. On a seasonally and working-day-adjusted basis, industrial production rose by 1.1% in April, easing from a 3.1% increase in March. Over the first four months of 2026, industrial output was 1.0% higher than in the same period a year earlier.
