The FAO Food Price Index slipped 0.2% to 130.8 points in May 2026, down from a revised 131 points in April, which marked the highest level since January 2023. Higher price indices for cereals and sugar were offset by declines in vegetable oils and dairy products, while the meat price index remained virtually unchanged.
