The previous figure, also measured on a year-over-year basis, showed a 3.0% increase, reflecting the change in prices for the prior month versus its corresponding month a year earlier. The slight decline to 2.9% suggests that while underlying price growth remains elevated, it is gradually cooling, which could factor into expectations for monetary and fiscal policy discussions in Spain.
