In June 2025, industrial production in the Czech Republic experienced a modest year-on-year increase of 0.2%, down from a 2.2% rise in May and below market predictions of a 1.6% rise. The manufacturing sector saw a deceleration in growth, expanding by 1.0% compared to 1.5% in the previous month. Meanwhile, the mining and quarrying sector experienced a deeper contraction at -3.5%, following a -1.5% decline. Additionally, there was a significant drop in output within the electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply sector, which fell sharply by 9.1%, a stark contrast to the previous 10.9% increase. On a month-over-month basis, after seasonal adjustments, industrial activity decreased by 1.1% in June, reversing the 1.6% increase observed in May.
