Average hourly earnings for all employees on the US private nonfarm payrolls increased by 9 cents, or 0.3%, to reach $36.00 in March 2025. This rise aligns with market predictions and follows a revised 0.2% increase the previous month. Specifically, in March, average hourly earnings for private-sector production and nonsupervisory employees climbed by 5 cents, or 0.2%, bringing the total to $30.96. Year-over-year, average hourly earnings have grown by 3.8%, which is marginally below the anticipated 3.9% and February's 4% growth.
