In February 2025, Ireland experienced a significant surge in industrial production, with a year-on-year increase of 34.9%, following a revised gain of 12.7% in January. This represents the most robust expansion in industrial activity since November 2022. The acceleration was evident in both the manufacturing sector, which saw a rise to 37.4% from 13.9%, and the transportable goods industries, which grew to 37.7% from 13.7%. Conversely, the utilities sector continued its decline, recording a drop of 23.7% compared to a 20.7% decrease previously. On a monthly comparison, industrial output rose by 10.8% in February, marking a recovery from the 4.5% decline recorded in the prior month.
