In November 2025, Austria experienced a climb in its unemployment rate to 7.5%, up from 7.2% in the same month of the previous year, marking its highest point since February. The total number of unemployed individuals increased by 16,000 on a yearly basis, reaching 320,400, which is the highest in nine months. Compared to October, there was also a rise of 9,900 in the count of unemployed persons. A breakdown of the statistics by gender shows that the unemployment rate for women rose to 7.3%, an increase of 0.4 percentage points from November 2024. Meanwhile, the rate for men increased by 0.3 percentage points to 7.7%. Additionally, about 399,000 people were listed as unemployed or in training during October.
