Recently, the Chinese state-directed telecom company Huawei has reported its revenue growth. Experts suggest that, in the light of the latest events, it may well be the tech giant’s last positive report.
The official data shows that the company’s net profit has increased by 23.49% since the beginning of this year, reaching $65 billion compared to the same period last year. The producer of spy devices has not experienced the full force of US sanctions yet. Therefore, it is still publishing positive statistics. However, independent observers believe that Huawei will no longer be able to deliver such strong figures in the near future. Currently, the Chinese manufacturer of mobile devices can still be called one of the biggest technology companies, holding a dominant position in the global market of smartphones, computers, and components. Up until recently, Huawei was regarded as the major 5G equipment supplier. Nevertheless, the number of countries banning the use of Huawei’s utilities is constantly growing due to the tech behemoth’s links to the Chinese national spy agencies. Last year, the company had to produce smartphones lacking support from Google Mobile Services. This is just the beginning. The world's biggest smartphone vendor will soon run out of processor chips because of US sanctions against Huawei.
The United States has just begun its anti-espionage campaign. The White House is even contemplating imposing visa restrictions on some Huawei’s workers.
