KFC, an American fast food restaurant chain, has paused the use of its classic It’s Finger Lickin’ Good slogan for the first time since the company’s establishment.
The reason is obvious as due to the current epidemiological situation it is really dangerous to lick fingers even after the tastiest chicken pieces. That is why the company has decided not to use its famous slogan until better times.
Notably, the It’s Finger Lickin’ Good slogan is not a seasonal phenomenon. The company used it for 64 years before the pandemic came.
“Think we can all agree, this year has been like no other and, right now, our slogan doesn’t feel quite right. So, for that reason, we’ll be pressing pause on using it in our advertising, for a little while,” a representative of the company said.
“While we are pausing the use of It’s Finger Lickin’ Good, rest assured the food craved by so many people around the world isn’t changing one bit,” Catherine Tan-Gillespie, global chief marketing officer at KFC, said.
