Belgium experienced a 1.3% increase in construction output in July 2025 compared to the same period the previous year, marking an improvement from a revised growth figure of 1% in June. This growth was primarily driven by a recovery in specialized construction activities, which saw a rise of 0.9%, contrasting with a decline of 2.7% in June. Conversely, there was a decrease in both building construction (-2% compared to a previous increase of 0.8%) and civil engineering works (-3.1% versus a prior gain of 0.3%). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, construction activity rose by 2.2% in July, building on a 0.5% increase in June.
