FX.co ★ Kyrgyzstan Inflation Rate Hits 3-Month Low

Kyrgyzstan experienced a decrease in its annual inflation rate, which fell to 8.4% in September 2025 from the previous month's two-year peak of 9.5%. This decline represents the lowest figure since June. The moderation in inflation was primarily due to reduced price increases in areas such as food and non-alcoholic beverages (which decreased to 10.7% from August's 13.1%), transport (3.8% down from 4.7%), and alcoholic beverages and tobacco products (falling to 7.2% from 8.4%). Furthermore, the prices remained steady for housing services, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels (steady at 13.7%), communication (0% change), and miscellaneous goods and services (3.4%). Conversely, there were faster price increases observed in household items and appliances (rising to 1.2% from 0.6%), clothing and footwear (up slightly to 1.7% from 1.6%), health (increasing to 9.1% from 8.3%), education (jumping significantly to 30.5% from 24.2%), and restaurants and hotels (up to 2.2% from 1.9%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices remained steady with a 0.4% increase in September, consistent with the previous month's figure.
