In October 2025, Denmark experienced a notable increase in retail sales, which rose by 4.9% compared to the previous year. This marks an acceleration from a downwardly revised 3.3% growth in September. Notably, this is the strongest growth observed since April. The sales of other consumer goods witnessed a faster increase, growing by 8.6% compared to 7.6% in September. Furthermore, sales for food and other groceries bounced back, registering a 0.9% rise after a decline of 2% in the prior month. However, trade growth for clothing slightly cooled, with a growth rate of 2.1% following a 4.5% increase in September. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, retail activity grew by 0.9% in October, which reflects an improvement after a stagnant performance in the previous month.
