In October 2025, Croatia's trade deficit decreased to 1.4 billion euros, an improvement from the 1.6 billion euro deficit recorded in the same month of the previous year. This was largely due to a more robust increase in exports compared to imports. Exports saw a significant jump of 7.7% year-on-year, reaching 2.4 billion euros, whereas imports had a modest growth of 0.6%, amounting to 3.8 billion euros. Over the January to October timeframe, exports increased by 5.9% relative to the same period in 2024, reaching a total of 21 billion euros. This growth was fueled by stronger shipments to both EU countries, which rose by 6.7%, and non-EU countries, which increased by 4.4%. In contrast, imports grew by 3.8%, driven by a rise in goods from EU countries by 1.6% and a significant 11.9% increase from non-EU countries.
