In October 2025, Ireland's industrial production experienced a 10.5% increase compared to the previous year, marking a slight decline from the revised 11% growth observed in September. This increase was primarily driven by a 9.2% rise in manufacturing output, with significant contributions from the sectors producing bakery and farinaceous products, wood and wood products, and electrical equipment. When examining the August to October span, manufacturing production surged by 14.4% compared to the same period in 2024. During this interval, the highly globalised modern sector, which includes chemicals, pharmaceuticals, as well as computer and electronic products, reported a substantial 18.3% year-on-year growth. In contrast, production within the more domestically focused traditional sector saw a 3.4% decline.
