In November 2025, Malaysia experienced a drop in its unemployment rate to 2.9%, a decrease from 3.2% recorded in the same month the previous year, marking the lowest rate observed since November 2014. This increase boosted the employment rate to 68.8% from the previous year's 68.3%. Additionally, the labor force participation rate climbed to a peak of 70.9%, up from 70.5% in November of the prior year. Youth unemployment, specifically for individuals aged 15 to 24, reduced to 10.1% from the previous year's 10.4%, maintaining its lowest level since January 2020 for the second consecutive month. The unemployment rate for October 2025 was 3.0%.
