In November 2025, Bulgaria experienced a significant downturn in industrial production, which plummeted by 9.3% compared to the same period the previous year. This decline marks an acceleration from October's revised 7.5% contraction and continues a year-long trend of decreasing activity. The most notable drop was recorded in the energy goods sector, which saw a dramatic decrease of 42.1% following a 10.3% drop in the prior month. Additional sectors contributing to the decline included non-durable consumer goods, which fell by 6.0% following a 14.0% decrease, capital goods, decreasing by 2.5% compared to a 2.4% drop, and consumer durable goods, which saw a slight decline of 0.2% following a 7.2% increase. Conversely, the production of intermediate goods saw a positive shift, rising by 3.1%, thus ending a ten-month period of contraction. On a monthly basis, industrial production decreased by 1.7% in November, after a 2.4% decline in October.
