Sweden's economy grew by 0.2% in the fourth quarter of 2025 compared to the previous quarter, a deceleration from the 1.1% growth recorded in the third quarter and falling short of market predictions for a 0.6% increase, as reported in a preliminary estimate. Mattias Kain Wyatt, an economist with Statistics Sweden, noted that despite a consistent growth trend since the second quarter, the rate slowed as the year concluded. Preliminary data for the entire year indicates a GDP growth of 1.4% for 2025. Annually, GDP saw a rise of 1.8%, a reduction from the 2.6% seen in the earlier period, also below the anticipated 2.2% growth by the market.
