Industrial production in Belarus fell by 1.4% year-on-year in the first five months of 2026, marking a fourth consecutive month of gradual improvement after a 2.5% decline recorded in January–April. The strongest expansion was observed in the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water, and air conditioning, which rose by 8.2%, followed by the mining sector with a 2.5% increase and water supply; waste collection, treatment and disposal; and pollution elimination activities, up 1.1%. By contrast, manufacturing output contracted by 3.2%.
