Romania’s industrial production showed signs of stabilisation in June 2026, with the pace of decline slowing noticeably on a month-over-month basis. Output fell by 0.7% compared with May, a marked improvement from the 2.8% contraction recorded in May 2026 versus April.
The fresh data, updated on 13 August 2026, indicate that while the sector remains in negative territory, the pressure on industrial activity has started to ease.
