Oman’s annual inflation rate accelerated to 3.2% in July 2026, up from 2.8% in June. Food inflation climbed to 7.3% from 6.1%, while transport inflation rose to 6.5% from 5.5%. Price growth also strengthened slightly in recreation and culture (0.4% vs 0.3%). Inflation remained elevated for furnishings (3.1%) and education (2.2%), whereas housing and utilities costs continued to fall, declining by 0.6%. By contrast, inflation eased in restaurants and hotels (3.6% vs 4.6%) and in health (1.7% vs 1.8%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased by 0.7%, rebounding from a 0.6% decline in June.
