FX.co ★ Estonia Retail Sales Rise at Faster Pace

Retail sales in Estonia increased by 4.1% year-on-year in July 2026, picking up from a 0.8% rise in June. The acceleration was largely driven by stronger automotive fuel sales, which grew by 6.6% compared with a year earlier (vs 0.4% in June). Sales of food, beverages and tobacco also strengthened, advancing 3.0% year-on-year (vs 1.0% previously), while sales of non-food products excluding fuel rose 3.0%, reversing a 0.1% decline in the prior month. Month-on-month, total retail trade volume climbed 2.8% after a 1.9% increase in the preceding period, and was up 1.0% on a seasonally and calendar-adjusted basis. Over the first seven months of 2026, retail sales volume was 4% higher than in the same period of 2025.
