However, investors were cautious about building larger positions ahead of the Jackson Hole central banking symposium, which begins today, with Fed Chair Kevin Warsh due to speak on Friday. Market participants will also closely examine the ECB’s Monetary Policy Meeting Accounts for further signals on the interest rate trajectory.
Geopolitical developments in the Middle East remained a key point of attention. Among individual stocks, Infineon Technologies and Siemens Energy led the index, each gaining more than 2%. SAP rebounded more than 1% following a weak performance in the previous session, while Rheinmetall added 1.2%. On the downside, Heidelberg Materials, Deutsche Telekom, Qiagen NV, MTU Aero Engines, and Henkel were among the worst performers, declining between 1% and 1.7%.
