FX.co ★ Serbia Producer Inflation Highest Since 2023

Producer prices in Serbia rose 9% year-on-year in August 2026, the fastest pace since February 2023 and up from a 6.2% increase in July. The acceleration in producer price inflation was driven by higher costs in manufacturing (10.3% vs 6.8%), mining and quarrying (12% vs 8.5%), and water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (5.8% vs 3.9%). By contrast, inflation eased in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sector (3.9% vs 5.8%). On a monthly basis, the producer price index (PPI) rose by 1.9%.
