Denmark’s seasonally adjusted trade surplus widened to DKK 40.5 billion in July 2026, up from a downwardly revised DKK 25.3 billion in June, marking the largest surplus in the current data series. Total exports increased by 4.0% month-on-month to DKK 202.7 billion, driven by a 4.5% rise in goods exports to DKK 118.9 billion and a 3.3% increase in services exports to DKK 83.8 billion. At the same time, total imports declined by 4.4% to DKK 162.2 billion, as goods imports fell 6.9%, while services imports edged down 1.4%.
Over the first seven months of 2026, total exports reached DKK 1,313.0 billion, up from DKK 1,236.5 billion in the same period a year earlier. Imports rose to DKK 1,113.2 billion from DKK 1,045.8 billion, resulting in a trade surplus of DKK 199.8 billion, compared with DKK 190.7 billion in the corresponding period of 2025.
