White House uses up its Russian sanctions list

The interference in the US elections, the annexation of Crimea, and the destabilization of the situation in the region - this is hardly a complete list of reasons for imposing sanctions against Russia. However, there has come a time when the United States no longer knows against whom to clamp new sanctions.

US authorities acknowledged that in an effort to curb foreign influence, they had almost completely exhausted all possible restrictive measures against Russia. In the event of another Russian "misstep", they have no idea who should be punished. Secretary of Homeland Security Chad Wolf believes that the authorities have actually used up the stock of people, against which they can impose sanctions. This administration is doing everything possible to bring Russia to justice. Washington worries about its complete list of denied persons for a reason. The White House wants to prevent Moscow's attempts to interfere in the upcoming presidential election. The officials believe that Russia is using a variety of measures to denigrate Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden ahead of the election. Wolf also added that according to the intelligence data, Russia had undoubtedly tried to interfere in the US elections in 2016 and had continued to do so for the past four years.

White House national security adviser Robert O'Brien has similar views on the situation. "There's almost nothing we can sanction left of the Russians. We put so many sanctions on the Russians that, by the way, the prior administration didn't do. We've sanctioned the heck out of the Russians - individuals, companies, the government," O'Brien stated.
