General Motors announced a recall of vehicles from the U.S. market. This time, 717,950 units will be recalled in the United States. It is due to various reasons related to safety. The latest recalls hit over 400,000 GM's vehicles, Chevrolet Camaros from the 2011-2012 model years, Chevrolet Equinoxs and GMC Terrains 2010-2012, and a total of 120,000 Chevrolet Caprices, Silverado LD and HD, Cadillac ATS and CTS. More than 120,000 Buick Regals produced in 2011-2013 and Chevrolet Malibus from the last year batch are being withdrawn as well. Since the beginning of the year, General Motors has recalled over 29 million vehicles in North America, a record for the auto industry. Earlier, Ford Motor Co. had had the highest reading – in 2001 the company recalled 23.3 million cars from the market.
