On Thursday, Wallbox N.V. (WBX) announced that it, its subsidiary COIL, and partners the Clean and Prosperous Institute and Adopt a Charger, have secured proposed awards amounting to $25.6 million. These funds are from the Washington Department of Commerce's Electric Vehicle Charging Program.
The financial support is a segment of a larger $85 million package. This sum was announced by the state of Washington in February with the aim to advocate for clean transportation and enhance the quality of air.
These awards, revealed during the Department's preliminary program stage, will contribute to the installation of Wallbox's newest AC Level 2 charger, the Pulsar Pro. This will take place in 148 multifamily residential properties across Washington.
The Pulsar Pro is equipped with RFID integration and is ISO 15118 ready. These features ensure a secure and future-proof charging solution.
The company confirmed that COIL will spearhead these projects, with Resound Energy offering its services. Resound Energy is a locally-based energy efficiency contractor.
