The S&P Global Eurozone Composite PMI was revised up to 52.0 in July 2026 from a preliminary reading of 51.9 and 50.0 in June, returning to expansion territory for the first time since March and marking the strongest increase in business activity in eight months. The improvement was broad-based, with a renewed rise in services activity alongside a sustained and faster expansion in manufacturing output. Demand also firmed, as new business grew for the first time this year and at the quickest pace since November, indicating a solid start to the third quarter. At the same time, inflationary pressures continued to moderate, with both input costs and output prices rising at a slower rate in July. Business confidence strengthened to a five-month high, reflecting increasing optimism about the economic outlook.
