US President Donald Trump said on the social network Truth Social that the United States has established full control over the strategic Strait of Hormuz and intends to maintain it going forward. The American leader defined the naval blockade as a "Wall of Steel." As a result, Tehran has ended up completely powerless in Trump’s assessment.
The president claims that Iran's armed forces have lost the ability to offer effective resistance due to the absence of full-fledged naval and air forces. According to the White House chief, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has been "routed and is fleeing," and the remaining servicemen are not receiving pay. The country's leadership, the American president said, is in disarray; he described Iran as a state that "talks a lot but does nothing," adding that Tehran is no longer the "bully of the Middle East."
Evaluating Iran's economic situation, Donald Trump noted that the country is bankrupt and out of money. He pointed to rampant inflation, which has reached 300%, and said that Iranian authorities are trying to mask the real state of affairs with "fake news."
