Sales of a new lineup of gadgets recently released by Huawei are gaining momentum, overtaking the new iPhone 15 from Apple.
According to German market research firm GfK and US consumer research agency IDC, the iPhone 15 series saw a 6% decline in sales in October. In the third quarter of 2023, sales of Apple's flagship device decreased by another 4%.
Meanwhile, Huawei's smartphone sales in China witnessed a strong gain in recent months, marking the company’s return to the mobile arena spotlight as a key event of the current year.
The tech giant's Mate 60 series recorded sales of nearly 1.5 million in its launch month, more than doubling from a year ago.
“Huawei Mate 60 series will continue to maintain its strong sales momentum going forward,” GfK assumed.
Notably, the new Huawei Mate 60 and 60 Pro smartphones are equipped with the Kirin processor, an innovative flagship in-house development. According to experts, Kirin has been a breakthrough enabling the world to use more advanced 5-nanometre technology.
