On Tuesday, tech giants Cisco, Microsoft, and Samsung Electronics announced a partnership to deliver integrated video solutions for hybrid meetings. This initiative would be spearheaded by the new inclusive content layout known as Front Row for Microsoft Teams Rooms. It features Samsung's latest 105" Smart Signage or their 4K Smart Signage screens.
The collaboration will combine the capabilities of Cisco's RoomOS-powered appliances with Samsung's Smart Signage displays and Microsoft Teams' Front Row layout. This union is aimed at creating a seamless connection to bridge any potential distance between meeting participants.
Other highlights of this partnership include immersive viewing experiences, advanced collaboration powered by AI technology, easy operational management, and the possibility for effortless deployment – along with the ability to interoperate seamlessly.
According to Ilya Bukshteyn, Vice President of Microsoft Teams Calling, the goal of this collaboration is to "deliver enhanced experiences that meet the needs of today's hybrid workforce for all organizations and workspaces." He expressed satisfaction with the collaboration between Cisco and Samsung as it supported this vision, delivering integrated solutions that allow for fair meeting experiences that organizations can easily scale.
Concerning stocks, Cisco shares fell by 0.33% to $52.12 in pre-market trading. In contrast, Microsoft shares saw a rise on the Nasdaq, hitting $412.90, an increase of 0.78%. Samsung shares, however, witnessed a slight dip in the Korean market, closing at KRW 74,300, marking a decrease of 0.13%.
