Key economic data from Germany, including flash inflation, unemployment and retail sales numbers are expected to be released on Wednesday.
At 2:00 am ET, the Federal Statistical Office of Germany (Destatis) plans to publish the country's retail sales and import price figures. Economists predict a 0.7% monthly increase in sales for December, a significant change compared to the 2.5% decrease recorded in November. Import prices are anticipated to fall by 0.5%.
Following this, at 2:45 am ET, the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE) in France is set to release flash consumer and harmonized prices for January. It's anticipated that harmonized inflation will ease to 3.3%, down from 4.1% in December.
Further data is expected from Spain at 3:00 am ET, including retail sales numbers.
At 3:55 am ET, Germany's Federal Employment Agency will disclose the country's unemployment data for January. Economists predict the unemployment rate to remain steady at 5.9%.
At 4:00 am ET, Italy's National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT) is due to release unemployment figures for December. It's predicted the jobless rate will tick up slightly to 7.6% from 7.5% in November.
Lastly, at 8:00 am ET, Germany is set to reveal flash consumer and harmonized consumer price data. Inflation for harmonized consumer prices is projected to slip to 3.2% in January, down from 3.8% in December.
