Preliminary data from Statistics Poland disclosed on Wednesday that the country's economy remained unaltered in the last quarter of 2023. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) experienced no significant changes in the fourth quarter, following a 1.1 percent escalation during the third quarter. Contrarily, economic analysts predicted a drop of 1.0 percent for the month.
A year-on-year comparison revealed a swift recovery for the GDP, with a 0.5 percent climb during the fourth quarter, compared to a 0.3 percent dip in the previous quarter. Furthermore, the seasonally unadjusted GDP saw an expansion of 1.0 percent in the December quarter, which is a faster rate compared to the 0.5 percent increment in the September quarter.
Detailed data from the fourth quarter are scheduled to be released by the statistical office on February 29.
