The Hungarian Central Statistical Office reported on Friday that Hungary's unemployment rate experienced a slight decline during the May-July period. The rate decreased to 4.2 percent in May-July, down from 4.3 percent in April-June.
In comparison, the unemployment rate was 4.0 percent during the same period last year. The number of unemployed individuals fell to 209,900 in the May-July timeframe from 215,300 in the preceding three months.
Meanwhile, the employment rate held steady at 65.1 percent. Specifically, the unemployment rate for July stood at 4.2 percent, unchanged from June.
