Gold Fields Ltd. (GFI) announced on Monday the appointment of Phillip Murnane as its incoming Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and an Executive Director.
Murnane will take over from Paul Schmidt, who served as CFO and Executive Director until April 30, 2024. Currently, Alex Dall is acting as interim CFO following Schmidt’s retirement, and he will continue in this role until Murnane officially starts, expected in early 2025.
Murnane will be stationed at the Gold Fields Corporate Office in Johannesburg, South Africa.
He brings more than 20 years of experience in the resources sector, having previously held CFO roles at various companies, most recently with commodities broker ED&F Man.
