Mercury Systems (MRCY) has secured a $24.5 million contract to design a data processing and storage subsystem for a satellite program under the U.S. Defense Department. This advanced system will incorporate Mercury's SCFE6933 processing board, utilizing AMD Versal AI Core series FPGAs, along with the company’s newly introduced RH304T solid-state data recorder. The RH304T is a 3U, radiation-tolerant device boasting 4.5 terabytes of storage capacity.
"Our selection to develop this subsystem underscores Mercury's distinctive model and approach towards innovation, where commercial-grade products are harnessed to formulate pioneering and valuable solutions," commented Roger Wells, Chief Operating Officer of Mercury Systems.
