Turkey's Manufacturing PMI Edges Up in February

The Istanbul Chamber of Industry's Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for Turkey has shown a slight improvement according to the latest data released on March 3, 2025. For the month of February, the PMI increased to 48.30, up from January's reading of 48.00.

Though still below the neutral 50.0 threshold, which separates contraction from expansion, February's uptick to 48.30 indicates a marginal easing in the contraction of the Turkish manufacturing sector. The slight improvement suggests that while challenges remain, there may be early signs of stabilization amidst the sector's downturn.

The February PMI data provides industry stakeholders with insights into the health of Turkey's manufacturing sector, as businesses and policymakers closely monitor these incremental changes for potential signs of a recovery or further strategic adjustments. The PMI remains a crucial barometer for assessing economic conditions and planning future actions in a rapidly changing economic landscape.
