In February 2025, Kuwait's annual inflation rate remained relatively stable, marked at 2.49%, slightly down from 2.5% observed in the preceding two months. There was a softening in prices for clothing and footwear, which recorded an increase of 4.63% compared to 4.81% in January. Housing services maintained a constant rate of 0.9%, while communication remained steady at 0.88%. Recreation and culture held at 2.64%, education at 0.71%, restaurants and hotels at 2.03%, and cigarettes and tobacco at 0.07%. Conversely, certain sectors experienced a rise in costs: food and beverages increased to 5.23% from 5.19%; home furnishings and maintenance equipment rose to 3.04% from 2.98%; health costs went up to 4.08% from 3.99%; and miscellaneous goods and services grew to 5.46% from 5.17%. Meanwhile, transport costs continued to decrease but at a slower rate, measured at -1.19% from the previous -1.26%. On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices in February saw a 0.22% increase, following a 0.15% rise in January.
