In July 2025, Bosnia and Herzegovina experienced a 3.9% year-on-year decline in industrial production, marking a significant shift from the 2.6% increase observed in the prior month. This downturn can be primarily attributed to a reversal in the production of intermediate goods, which saw a decrease of 3.4% compared to a 3.8% rise in June. Additionally, there were notable contractions in energy output, which plummeted by 11.9% following a marginal decrease of 0.1%, and in consumer durables, which dropped by 37.0% after a 32.7% decline previously recorded. In other segments, the growth of capital goods production slowed to 5.3% from a robust 14.4%, while there was an acceleration in the production of consumer non-durables, rising to 3.0% from 1.2%. When adjusting for seasonal variations on a monthly basis, industrial output decreased by 1.4% in July, effectively negating the 2.1% increase experienced in June.
